Join us on a cultural journey through Konya’s rich historical heritage, where we will visit Çatalhöyük Neolithic Site, one of the most significant settlements in human history, and the Mevlana Museum, one of Konya’s most iconic landmarks.
As one of the most important milestones in human history, Çatalhöyük provides valuable insight into the transition to settled life, the beginnings of agriculture, and the development of early societies.
Located in the Çumra district of Konya, Çatalhöyük Neolithic Site covers an area of approximately 14 hectares. Its distinctive settlement pattern, consisting of interconnected houses without streets and entrances through the roofs, makes Çatalhöyük unique among Neolithic settlements.
With its large scale, dense population, distinctive architecture, and rich artistic and cultural traditions, Çatalhöyük holds outstanding importance for understanding the development of human civilization. Due to these exceptional characteristics, Çatalhöyük Neolithic Site was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2012.
Following our visit to Çatalhöyük, we will continue to Konya city center.
Our second stop will be the Mevlana Museum, one of the most important historical and cultural landmarks of Konya.
The museum is home to the mausoleum of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi and houses significant artifacts reflecting his life and the traditions of the Mevlevi Order. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover important aspects of Mevlana’s life and the cultural heritage of the Mevlevi tradition.
Following our visit to the Mevlana Museum, we will conclude our tour and begin our return journey.
